Twitter 2.0, as Elon Musk likes to call it, continues to evolve and offer new features. Although the available update concerns private messages, Elon Musk took the opportunity to present features under development.
Replies are coming in private messages 📨
If you use messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage or others, you are probably familiar with the feature of replying to specific messages in a conversation. Twitter has finally introduced this feature in private messages, which will make the exchanges more fluid. No more copying a message, adding // before adding your reply.
In addition to replies to messages, it is FINALLY possible to use any emoji as a reaction, and not only the 7 emojis proposed by Twitter.
Encrypted messages and calls are coming soon on the platform 📞
Elon Musk also announced the upcoming arrival of two new features that should change the game on the platform.
Privacy is a growing concern in our increasingly digital societies. Most messaging platforms have adopted message encryption by default to protect their users’ privacy. In the coming days, Twitter will also offer private encrypted messages to all its users. But the platform has no plans to stop there.
With latest version of app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just most recent) and use any emoji reaction.

In a tweet announcing upcoming Twitter features, Elon Musk revealed that the social network is currently working on an audio and video calling feature. Although no date has been given as to when it will be rolled out, this feature will certainly change the way users interact on the platform.
