Spotify Wrapped 2025: Your music recap just became a group event 🎧

Every year, the same ritual takes over Instagram, X, and TikTok: colorful cards, artist rankings, playlists that feel halfway between a diary entry and a confession. Spotify Wrapped isn’t just a fun feature anymore—it’s a cultural moment, a collective recap where everyone posts the soundtrack of their year like a personal highlight reel. For 2025, Spotify is pushing the concept further than ever with an experience that’s more interactive, more social, and built for sharing in just a few taps. The question is no longer “Did you get your Wrapped?” but “Who are you comparing it with this year?”

What exactly is Spotify Wrapped ? 🎧

Spotify Wrapped compiles your year in music into a slick sequence of immersive, personalized “stories.” You’ll find returning features like Listening Age, which assigns an age to your listening habits, and the Top Song Quiz, a quick challenge that tests your memory of your own jams.

There’s also Wrapped Clubs, a playful breakdown of your listener archetype—from “Vibes Explorer” to unabashed hit lover. And for 2025, your Top Songs playlist now includes exact play counts, making it painfully clear which tracks you truly obsessed over.

The big new feature: Wrapped Party 🥳

The headliner this year is Wrapped Party, the first-ever multiplayer version of Wrapped. You can invite up to nine friends, compare stats in real time, and unlock playful titles like “Sonic Sync Award” or “Chaos Crew.”

Designed for house parties, friend groups, remote teams, and online communities, Wrapped Party transforms Wrapped from a solo reveal into a shared event. It’s less “post your cards” and more “jump into a friendly competition,” turning your musical year into a group experience.

How to access it in under two minutes ⏱️

Getting to Wrapped is straightforward: update the app, open the Wrapped tab, and you’re in. If you don’t see the banner, a quick search for “Wrapped” or “Wrapped Party” usually brings it up.

There are a few eligibility requirements: you must have listened to at least 30 tracks for more than 30 seconds, and at least five different artists. Private listening sessions don’t count, which might shift results for some users.

What’s worth sharing this year 🗂️

Wrapped 2025 is packed with content designed to go viral. The Top Songs screens, now paired with exact play counts, are already among the most shared. The duo Listening Age + Top Song Quiz fits perfectly into short-form formats like Stories or TikTok.

But Wrapped Party is poised to dominate timelines. Live rankings, humorous awards, and a built-in group dynamic make it tailor-made for screenshots and social sharing.

The alternatives: what Apple, YouTube, and Deezer bring to the table 🔄

Spotify may dominate the conversation, but its rivals aren’t sitting still. Apple Music Replay 2025 doubles down on analytics with new modules like Discovery, Loyalty, and Comebacks for a granular, data-heavy look at your listening year. Total minutes, favorite artists, and monthly summaries are easier to explore thanks to tighter integration in the Music app and web experience.

YouTube Music takes a different approach built around continuity: besides the annual recap, seasonal recaps track evolving habits throughout the year. The web-centric design leans into clean, shareable recap cards.

Deezer offers #MyDeezerYear, a more minimalist but highly visual take on your musical year. Its recap leans into storytelling with categories like “super fan moments,” your most-supported artists, and your personal “listening style.” It’s less about competition and more about expression—designed for Stories and mood-driven sharing.

Each platform tells your musical year through a different lens: Apple focuses on depth, YouTube on rhythm and frequency, Deezer on personal expression… while Spotify goes all-in on social play with Wrapped Party.

Quick access: the simplest paths 🔗

Spotify Wrapped and Wrapped Party are available from the dedicated tab or via the app’s search bar. Apple Music Replay lives directly inside the Music app or at replay.music.apple.com. YouTube Music Recap is accessible from your Library or music.youtube.com/recap.

For My Deezer Year, access is just as quick: from the home screen, head to the Explore tab on the right. The My Deezer Year 2025 recap typically appears at the top-left of the page. In some cases, the card might even show up directly on your home screen after a simple refresh.

Each platform now has its own way of turning your year in music into a shareable visual story.

Wrapped 2025 confirms a clear shift: year-end music recaps aren’t just data dumps anymore—they’re social spaces. Spotify is betting on real-time interaction and playful comparison, Apple is refining insights inside the app, and YouTube is pacing the year with seasonal recaps.

So the real question isn’t what your Wrapped says about you… but who you’ll experience it with this time.

Which Wrapped screen surprised you the most this year? And will you be brave enough to launch a Wrapped Party with your coworkers—or your crew? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
