Until now, to use ChatGPT, it was necessary to use a web browser. OpenAI finally decides to offer its generative AI on iOS.

ChatGPT is coming to iOS, Android version in the pipeline 🍏

Since its introduction, ChatGPT has revolutionized our web search habits. However, the generative AI was until now only available via third-party apps on smartphones, without being developed directly by OpenAI, ChatGPT’s parent company. OpenAI has decided to address this by launching the iOS version of its chatbot.

The ChatGPT app is free and offers syncing of your history across all your devices. It also features Whisper, an open-source speech recognition system that allows voice input.

Otherwise, the experience will be similar to that on the web, with instant responses, personalized advice, creative inspiration, professional feedback and learning opportunities. As on the web, a ChatGPT Plus subscription will be required to gain exclusive access to GPT-4 capabilities, early access to new features and faster response times.

The application is currently only available in the United States. You can access it by clicking here. It will take a few weeks before it is available in other countries and for an Android version.
