WhatsApp channels are a great way to share information with multiple people while guaranteeing confidentiality. In fact, if you haven’t already done so, you can subscribe to our WhatsApp channel by clicking here. Until now, there has been one missing feature, already present in discussions: polls.
Gather your subscribers’ opinions with polls🗳️
Polls are nothing new on WhatsApp. This feature, already present in discussions, comes in very handy for making decisions, particularly in group discussions. Several months after the launch of the channels, they are finally finding their place within them.
Channels represent a one-way means of communication between channel administrators and subscribers. However, it is sometimes important to obtain the opinion of subscribers. Until now, administrators could ask subscribers to react to a publication by way of a vote. But this is not very practical. With the introduction of polls, it should be easier to gather opinions.
This information comes from the WABetaInfo site, which specializes in WhatsApp news. According to the site, both the administrator and the participants can only view the total number of votes. It is not possible to know who participated in the poll. This is excellent news for user confidentiality.
The feature is currently being tested by selected iOS beta testers. We’ll have to wait and see before it’s deployed for everyone.
Do you subscribe to any WhatsApp channels? If so, what do you think of this new feature? Tell us in the comments.
