YouTube tests a new way of blocking ad blockers 🚫

YouTube’s revenue comes mainly from advertising on the platform. However, a large number of users are using ad blockers, prompting YouTube to look for solutions to counter this phenomenon.
A 3-video reprieve🚫
YouTube has a long history of fighting ad blockers. The online video giant regularly looks for ways to offer advertising to all its users. The latest is currently being tested with certain users.
According to the screenshot above, if you use an ad blocker, YouTube will be able to detect it and prevent videos from being played. Videos will not be blocked immediately after the ad blocker is detected, but only after 3 videos have been played. In its warning, YouTube points out that ads are necessary to keep the platform free and suggests that you either accept ads or try out YouTube Premium.
This feature is currently being tested with a restricted group of users. There is no indication yet as to whether YouTube will roll out this feature to all its users. We’ll have to wait and see.
