Samsung has just unveiled its highly anticipated Galaxy Ring, its first connected ring dedicated to health and wellness tracking. Combining elegance and cutting-edge technology, this new connected jewel promises to revolutionize our daily health monitoring.

The Galaxy Ring stands out with its concave design and Grade 5 titanium frame, offering durability and style. Weighing between 2.3 and 3 grams, it quickly becomes unnoticeable on the finger thanks to its exceptional comfort. Available in three colors – Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold – and in nine sizes, it adapts perfectly to all styles and body types.

Samsung had the good idea of integrating a small bar on the ring. As a reminder, for measurements to be reliable, the sensors must be positioned where the skin is thinnest on the finger. This part is none other than the palm. This small bar will therefore help to position the ring correctly on the finger. It is also recommended to wear it on the index finger.

To ensure continuous use, the Galaxy Ring boasts a battery life of up to seven days. For charging, you can rely on an elegant case with LEDs indicating the charge level. Moreover, the small bar will also help verify that the ring is properly positioned in its charging case. The case can be recharged wirelessly or via USB-C, offering maximum flexibility.

Artificial intelligence at the service of your health 🩺

The Galaxy Ring is equipped with three integrated sensors allowing continuous monitoring of various health metrics. These include:

• Heart rate,
• Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)
• Movements via accelerometer
• Skin temperature

This data is analyzed by the Samsung Health app, powered by Galaxy AI. This analysis provides detailed and personalized information about your well-being.

The ring also offers in-depth sleep analysis thanks to metrics such as sleep score, snoring analysis, movements during sleep, sleep latency, and heart and respiratory rates. Galaxy AI also offers personalized advice to improve your sleep habits. Additionally, menstrual cycle tracking is facilitated through the detection of skin temperature variations during the night, allowing for accurate cycle prediction.

Furthermore, a new « Energy Score » has been developed to assess your physical and mental condition based on four main factors. These are sleep, activity, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. This score helps to understand how your health influences your daily life. It also offers personalized recommendations to optimize your well-being.

Finally, the Galaxy Ring monitors your heart rate in real-time and alerts you to anomalies via the Samsung Health app. The Live Heart Rate Check provides additional details on beats per minute, start time, and duration of heart rate variations.

Physical activity and gesture controls 🤌🏾

For sports enthusiasts, the Galaxy Ring automatically detects walking and running thanks to Auto Workout Detection. Reminders to stay active are also sent with the Inactive Alert. You can also use simple gestures to take photos or disable alarms on your Galaxy smartphone. If you ever misplace your ring, you can easily locate it using the Find My Ring feature.

A high price, but no subscription 🤑

The Galaxy Ring will be available from July 24, priced at 449 euros. Unlike some competitors like Oura Ring, Samsung does not require any subscription to access all features. However, Galaxy AI will remain free until the end of 2025. At that point, this parameter could evolve.

To find the size that fits your finger, Samsung can send you a sizing kit. Once received, you can try among the 9 sizes to find the one that suits you best. It is recommended to wear the sizing kit sample for more than a full day to ensure optimal comfort.
