To celebrate a decade of Pixel phones, Google unveiled a full refresh at Made by Google 2025: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold—its first truly high-end foldable. With a premium redesign, upgraded performance, deeper AI integration, and standout features like satellite WhatsApp calls, this generation is clearly meant to mark a turning point in Google’s smartphone strategy.
Pixel 10: the refined classic📱
The Pixel 10 is the compact, more approachable entry to the lineup. It sports a 6.3-inch OLED display (1080 x 2424, 120Hz), bright and fluid, powered by the new Tensor G5 chip with 12GB of RAM—more than enough for smooth everyday use.
The triple-camera system includes a 48MP main lens, 13MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP 5x telephoto. A 4,970 mAh battery with 30W fast charging and Qi2 wireless charging via Pixel Snap ensures solid endurance. Starting at €899, it’s aimed at those who want Pixel power without going all-in on the premium price.
Pixel 10 Pro & Pro XL: performance turned up 🚀
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL represent the flagship tier, each with a Super Actua OLED LTPO display—6.3 and 6.8 inches respectively. Both run at up to 120Hz with peak brightness reaching 3,300 nits.
Under the hood, the Tensor G5 combined with Gemini Nano and 16GB of RAM handles computational photography and heavy multitasking with ease. The Pro XL gets a 5,200 mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging.
The upgraded camera system features a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultrawide, and a 48MP 5x telephoto, capable of up to 100x hybrid zoom. Priced at €1,099 and €1,299, these models are pitched directly at big-screen, high-performance smartphone buyers.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Google’s foldable push 📖
Google takes a bigger step into foldables with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Building on the 9 Pro Fold, it now features a redesigned hinge and IP68 water resistance—still a rarity in foldables. Folded, it measures 155.2 x 76.3 x 10.8 mm, making it chunkier than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 (8.9 mm). At 258g, it’s also heavier than its Korean rival’s 215g.
Inside, there’s an 8-inch OLED panel (2076 x 2152, 3,000 nits) and a 6.4-inch outer display for versatility. Powered by Tensor G5 and 16GB RAM, it houses a 5,015 mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.
This device leans heavily into AI with Gemini Live, enabling smoother Google app interactions, image and video analysis, and screen sharing. Buyers also get a year of Google AI Pro and Gemini Pro, including access to Veo 3, a text-to-video generation tool. The triple-camera setup includes a 48MP main, 10.5MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP 5x telephoto. Launching in early October at €1,899, it’s Google’s boldest attempt yet to stake a claim in the foldable space—though its chunkier design may split opinions.
Shared innovations across the lineup ⚡
All Pixel 10 models come with some important upgrades. Qi2 wireless charging via Pixel Snap now uses a magnetic ring in the chassis for more stable and faster charging—15W on most models, up to 25W on the Pro XL.
Photography gets a major AI boost with features like Photo Coach (real-time guidance on framing and lighting), Best Take Auto (merging multiple shots into one optimal image), and Add Me (automatically inserting the photographer into the frame). Google is pushing hard to make mobile photography both smarter and more playful.
Pricing and availability 💸
The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL are already available in Europe, priced at €899, €1,099, and €1,299 respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold arrives in early October for €1,899. Google is also expanding its ecosystem with the Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a, and Pixel Buds Pro 2—covered in a separate piece.
Google bets on AI and design for its 10th anniversary ✨
With the Pixel 10 family, Google is doubling down on sleek design, raw performance, and AI-first features. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold shows Google’s determination to compete in the foldable market, even if its thicker build stands out against rivals. The bigger question: will AI perks, 100x zoom, and satellite calling be enough to sway the most demanding users?
