Google’s 2025 Made by Google event wasn’t just another keynote—it was part talk show, part product reveal, and all about ecosystem power. Alongside the new Pixel 10 lineup (covered in a separate piece), the spotlight was firmly on wearables: the brand-new Pixel Watch 4, the affordable Pixel Buds 2a, and a major software upgrade for the Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Pixel Watch 4: sleeker, smarter, healthier 🌟❤️‍🩹

The Pixel Watch 4 doubles down on Google’s circular design language, with slimmer bezels (down 16%), a larger display area (+10%), and an OLED panel that hits a blazing 3,000 nits for sun-proof visibility.

The big story, though, is Gemini AI. The assistant is baked deep into the watch, offering smart replies, context-aware notifications, app controls, and seamless tie-ins with Google Home, Wallet, Maps, and the rest of the Pixel ecosystem.

Health tracking also gets an upgrade. Alongside familiar metrics like daily readiness and cardio load, there’s now a morning report that summarizes your sleep and suggests a tailored plan for the day. The sensor suite is stacked: optical heart rate, pulse oximeter, ECG, and—for the first time—dual-band GPS for more precise tracking in dense urban environments.

Sports lovers aren’t left out either: 50+ workout modes are built in, including new additions like pickleball and basketball. Gemini can auto-detect activities in real time, while the larger model promises up to 40 hours of battery life with fast charging (50% in 15 minutes). The watch is 5 ATM/IP68 water-resistant, and in a nod to sustainability, key parts like the battery and display are replaceable.

Under the hood: performance and safety ⚙️

Inside is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip, paired with Wear OS 6 and Google’s new Material 3 Expressive design for smoother navigation and cleaner visuals. Notifications are more intelligent thanks to Gemini, and Google has added serious safety features: fall detection, satellite SOS messaging (a first for the company), and emergency location sharing.

Compared to the Watch 3, the Pixel Watch 4 offers 20% better battery life, a brighter display, and a more cohesive integration of AI and safety tools.

Pixel Buds 2a: accessible, durable, and finally ANC 🎧

Google’s new entry-level buds bring a long-awaited feature: active noise cancellation. Powered by Silent Seal 1.5 (borrowed from the Pro line), the tech adapts to your ear shape using pressure sensors to block out external noise more effectively.

The buds are IP54-rated for sweat and water resistance, making them gym- and commute-friendly. Their charging case has a clever rear tab for easier battery replacements—another sustainability first for Google earbuds.

On the practical side, there’s multipoint connectivity, device-tracking in case you misplace them, and two finishes: Hazel (black) and Iris (light violet).

Pixel Buds Pro 2: a game-changing update 🛠️

No new hardware here, but a big software update. Adaptive audio now auto-adjusts ANC based on your surroundings, and new audio notifications keep you in the loop without checking your phone. A fresh Moonstone colorway adds some extra style.

Prix et disponibilité : y’a du choix 💸
