Microsoft Office is dead, long live Microsoft 365 📑💻

It’s the end of an era. Microsoft has decided to get rid of its iconic Office brand, in favor of a new one, Office 365.

Microsoft 365: productivity tools and much more, for individuals and professionals

Flagship product of the Redmond giant and symbol of productivity for decades, the Office suite is going to retire. The suite, which initially included the essential Word, Powerpoint and Excel, has diversified over the years to include more and more applications and services, not only for professionals, but also for individuals.

In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office for Windows app will become the Microsoft 365 app, with a new logo, new design, and new features. »

Microsoft 365 will be the new home for all applications and services offered by Microsoft. It must be said that its offer has evolved a lot in recent years, especially with the appearance of online and mobile versions of office tools such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. With competition from other office suites such as Google’s – Google Workspaces -, or more recently Canva’s (Canva Visual Worksuite, which you can discover by clicking here), it was important for Microsoft to reinvent its offer to be more in line with current needs. Microsoft 365 includes the following applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Defender, Clipchamp (to edit videos), OneDrive (1TB), Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Forms, Skype, Family Safety (for the family version). Microsoft is available in a free version and also in a paid version at the following prices:

• Microsoft 365 Personal : 7€/month or 69€/year for annual subscription
• Microsoft 365 Family : 10€/month or 99€/year for annual subscription for 1 to 6 people.

For those who prefer the final version, Office Home and Student 2021 is still available for purchase.
