On May 20, 2025, the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Industry launched the second phase of E-kazi, a digital platform designed to streamline the process of starting a business across the country.
A digital platform built for all entrepreneurs 🌍
E-kazi was created to serve all Congolese entrepreneurs—regardless of gender or geographic location. From women-led ventures and local artisans to small businesses and startups, the platform is designed to be inclusive. Even founders based in remote areas, far from physical government offices, can now access the system online.
The first rollout of E-kazi, launched in September 2024, focused on raising awareness about entrepreneurship through interactive virtual assistants.
Phase two takes things a step further: users can now digitally prepare and submit their business registration documents, including articles of incorporation, ID scans, and photos, all from home. The application is then forwarded to the country’s one-stop business registration center, the Guichet Unique.
Startup registration, simplified 💻
E-kazi now offers a fully digital onboarding experience for new businesses:
- Automatic generation of the Commercial and Personal Property Credit Registry (RCCM),
- Issuance of a tax ID (NIF) and a national business identifier,
- Secure payments for all fees and charges through LOGIRAD, an integrated e-payment system,
- Personalized support, including potential access to certification programs, funding opportunities, insurance, and public procurement contracts.
Behind the scenes, the platform’s evolution is powered by inter-ministerial cooperation—with the Ministries of Industry, Justice, Finance, and the Guichet Unique working together to ensure systems interoperability and legal compliance. The result? A smoother, faster, and more secure experience for entrepreneurs submitting their applications online.

The Ministry of Industry is encouraging entrepreneurs to explore the platform now and prepare their personal documents in advance. This will make it easier to fully onboard when the system is live nationwide.
With this new phase, the DRC signals a strong commitment to modernizing public administration and fostering entrepreneurship. E-kazi is emerging as a critical tool for energizing the private sector and unlocking broader economic growth.
In a country where paperwork can be a major barrier, going digital is a game-changer.
