Meta has no intention of slowing down its AI expansion. Unveiled last year, its Meta AI intelligent assistant is in the process of being deployed on various company platforms. And the icing on the cake is that it is now powered by a powerful new language model, Llama 3.
Meta deploys AI across all its services ✨
Meta AI integrates seamlessly with the applications you already know and use every day, such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. You can bring Meta AI into a conversation by typing in the text input box or using the search engine in these applications. In the Facebook News Feed, it appears in the form of interactive cards below publications. In this way, you can access all the assistant’s functions without having to switch from one application to another. What’s more, it lets you access real-time information on the Web, integrating search results from Bing and Google. You can also ask Meta AI to provide you with more information about an article or publication you’re viewing.
And for those who wish to use the assistant outside these applications, it is also available on the Web at meta.ai.
A new, more powerful model 💪🏾
Meta AI is based on Meta Llama 3, one of the largest language models developed by Meta. This state-of-the-art model guarantees smooth, natural interactions with the assistant, while delivering accurate, relevant results. In addition, the integration of Bing and Google search results enables Meta AI to access a vast database in real time, enriching the user experience.
Extended but limited availability 🌎
Meta AI is no longer exclusive to the USA. From now on, Internet users in over a dozen countries will have access to Meta AI. These are mainly English-speaking countries: Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Although Cameroon and France are not on the list, it is still possible to access the assistant using a VPN. However, you’ll still need to speak English with the assistant.
