Communication is evolving rapidly thanks to technology, and voice messages have already revolutionized the way we exchange on WhatsApp. Now, Meta’s instant messaging service goes one step further by introducing an innovative feature: instant video messages!

This new feature pushes the boundaries of personal expression by allowing you to record and share short video clips directly in your conversations. With a maximum length of 60 seconds per video, you’ve got plenty of time to share your moments in a lively, authentic way. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday with a personal touch, bursting out laughing with a hilarious joke, or delivering good news with emotion, video messages add a whole new dimension to your exchanges.

You may be wondering what the difference is between the videos already available on WhatsApp and these new video messages. Well, the difference lies mainly in the simplicity of sending. When you want to send a video on WhatsApp, you have to press the camera button, choose the video mode, record and preview the video before sending it. Sounds tedious, doesn’t it?

With video messages, it’s just as easy as sending a voice message. Simply press the voice memo button 🎙️ to switch to video mode, then press and hold to record the video. You can also slide up to lock and record hands-free. Videos will automatically play without sound when opened, and a single press will activate sound.
