« AIGLES » Cameroon: Towards a digital public administration 🦅

Since January 1, 2025, the « Aigles » application (Application Informatique de Gestion Logique des Effectifs et de la Solde – Logical Management IT Application for Workforce and Payroll) has become the official platform for managing the State’s human resources and payroll. Cameroon is digitalizing its employee management services.

A decisive turning point 🔄

After the Antilope, Sigipes 1, and Sigipes 2 systems, the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) adopted « Aigles. » Minister Joseph Le emphasized that its introduction marks progress for Cameroon. It contributes to the organization and optimization of human resource management within public administration. This system centralizes and secures workforce and payroll data, enabling smoother, more transparent, and more efficient management.

« This integrated tool also promotes better coordination between administrations and faster operational follow-up under the supervision of the Prime Minister, » said Joseph Le, Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform.

This reform aligns with the modernization goals set by the National Development Strategy by 2030 (SND-30). Thus, « Aigles » serves as a key lever for creating a modern and efficient public administration.

Initial visible results ✅

Since its launch on January 1, « Aigles » has already delivered tangible results. For instance, 176,894 state employees, whose files were pending, had their class and grade advancements automatically processed.

Additionally, 21,810 employees with no ongoing disciplinary procedures also benefited from this measure in January 2025. Finally, the minister highlighted the importance of mobilizing all stakeholders to ensure the success of this new career and payroll management tool. However, effectively embracing « Aigles » is crucial to sustaining this new momentum in public administration.
