In Cameroon, we started our activities in 2021 with the goal of improving urban mobility through technology. We introduced an innovative solution that allows users to travel more safely and efficiently by connecting passengers with licensed transport partners. »

« Using Yango is very simple and accessible to everyone. Just follow these steps:

1️⃣ Download the Yango app: It is available for free on Android and iOS.
2️⃣ Create an account: The user registers with their phone number and sets up their profile.
3️⃣ Enter the destination: The app automatically detects the passenger’s current location. They simply need to enter their arrival point.
4️⃣ Choose a vehicle type: Yango offers multiple options, from budget rides to premium services.
5️⃣ Confirm the request: Once the ride is validated, the app finds the nearest available driver.
6️⃣ Track the ride in real time: The user can see the driver arriving and follow their route safely.

At the end of the ride, payment can be made in cash or via electronic methods, depending on the available options. »

« One of the most important aspects of our business is our contribution to the local economy. Today, we collaborate with over 150 Cameroonian transport companies and have contributed to creating more than 6,000 direct and indirect jobs.

We do not just connect drivers and passengers. We support our partners by providing them with advanced technological tools to improve their profitability and safety. »

How does Yango work with the Cameroonian government, knowing that you have already been suspended? 🥲

« We have always ensured that we operate within a legal and regulated framework. We actively collaborate with the government, particularly the Ministry of Transport, to ensure full compliance with our services.

Recently, we renewed our license for five years in partnership with one of our local collaborators. This renewal reflects the authorities’ trust and their willingness to regulate innovation in the transport sector. We have faced challenges, but they have been resolved very quickly. »

Additionally, all our partner drivers undergo a strict verification process. They must provide official documents and meet our quality standards before joining the platform. »
