When searching on Google, it’s now possible to come across blurred images. Don’t panic, it’s normal. Google has rolled out a new update.
Explicit content now blurred by default 😶🌫️
Google has begun rolling out a brand new feature within Google Search, called SafeSearch. This feature automatically blurs out explicit images (such as those containing violence or sexual elements) that appear in search results. With this new feature, Google aims to prevent users, particularly families, from unwittingly encountering explicit images when searching.
SafeSearch’s new blur setting is being rolled out to all users worldwide this month. You can customize these settings and disable them at your convenience, unless a tutor or school network administrator has applied a lock on this option.
