Bose has recently updated its range of noise-canceling headphones and earphones, known as the QuietComfort series. While two products in the lineup are successors to existing models, a completely new model has been introduced.

Stop saying Bose QC, say Bose QuietComfort

Bose was one of the first manufacturers to offer consumer noise-canceling headphones, notably with the launch of the Bose QuietComfort 1 in the 2000s. Since then, the manufacturer’s range has evolved considerably, with flagship products such as the Bose QC35. It has even become one of its best-sellers. The previous model, the Bose QC45, was also hailed as one of the best noise-canceling headphones on the market.

Recently, the brand unveiled new products, including the successor to the Bose QC45. Although it was expected to eventually be called the Bose QC55, Bose opted for the simple appellation of « Bose QuietComfort headphones ». For this new model, Bose remains faithful to a tried-and-tested formula. The design remains similar to that introduced with the Bose QC35, improved with the Bose QC45. The materials are still plastic and aluminum to guarantee lightness and comfort.

On the audio side, Bose’s legendary noise reduction technology is present, making « Quiet Mode » an industry benchmark. Noise reduction is adjustable according to your preferences. If you need to hear your surroundings, « Aware mode » offers total transparency. A « Wind Block mode » is also available to attenuate wind noise. The headset has a battery life of up to 24 hours, and can be used in wireless or wired mode, thanks to a supplied audio cable with built-in microphone.

If you’re interested in this headphone, it’s now available in three colors (black, cloud white, cypress green) for €399.95.

Bose goes premium with Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones

If there’s one surprise we weren’t expecting, it’s a second set of headphones to accompany the successor to the QC45. For these new headphones, Bose has adopted a new design, with more premium materials. But it doesn’t stop there. In addition to the features of the Bose QuietComfort, these headphones feature new spatial audio technology for an even more immersive listening experience. It can also analyze the shape of your ears to adapt sound to their unique morphology. All this comes at a cost, with a price tag of €499.95, €100 more than the Bose QuietComfort. It is currently available for pre-order, and will go on sale on October 10.

Immersive audio comes to Bose headphones

To go with its 2 new headphones, Bose has unveiled new earbuds, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. These are the brand’s first headphones to adopt the immersive audio featured on Quiet Comfort Ultra headphones. Like the headphones, they can analyze the shape of your ears and adapt the sound accordingly.

Adopting the design of QuietComfort Earbuds 2, they evolve with a metallic finish and a design that facilitates installation and removal. For autonomy, a single charge provides 6 hours of listening. With 3 additional charges of the case, it provides a total of 24 hours of listening. A 20-minute quick charge gives an additional 2 hours of listening time.

The earbuds are currently on pre-order and will go on sale on October 10, priced at €349.95.
