Xiaomi is making waves by launching two flagship products that redefine the tech experience: the foldable Mix Flip smartphone and the Buds 5 wireless earbuds. Packed with advanced features, these new offerings highlight the brand’s commitment to competing with market leaders.

Mix Flip: a foldable smartphone to rival market giants📱

Xiaomi shakes up the smartphone industry with the global release of the Mix Flip, a foldable model that promises to challenge giants like Samsung and Motorola. This smartphone boasts a 6.86-inch main display, offering an impressive maximum brightness of 1600 nits, with localized peaks reaching up to 3000 nits. When closed, it also features a 4-inch external display for smooth and intuitive use. Under the hood, it is powered by the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, ensuring top-level performance for the most demanding apps.

Priced at 1301 euros, the Mix Flip is slightly more expensive than its competitors, but this is justified by its generous 512 GB storage capacity and 12 GB of RAM. This combination makes it an attractive choice for users seeking power and versatility. Additionally, its 4780 mAh battery, compatible with 67 W fast charging, ensures long-lasting usage even with such powerful features.

Buds 5: open and high-performance wireless earbuds🎧

The Buds 5 mark a significant leap for Xiaomi in the audio accessories space. Designed as open-type earbuds, they offer an immersive listening experience while maintaining environmental awareness. Unlike their predecessors, these earbuds don’t use silicone tips but still feature active noise cancellation. Thanks to three microphones and advanced algorithms, the Buds 5 effectively isolate unwanted noise while providing an ambient mode to stay aware of surrounding sounds.

The Buds 5 support an impressive range of audio codecs, including Bluetooth 5.4 with support for SBC, AAC, AptX Lossless, and AptX Adaptive, ensuring optimal sound quality. Officially Hi-Res certified, they also incorporate Harman Kardon’s AudioEFX technology, enhancing speaker sound quality. Each earbud is equipped with an 11mm driver, delivering rich bass ideal for all music genres.

Customization and battery life🔋

The Buds 5 also stand out with their dedicated app, allowing users to adjust noise cancellation levels and customize touch controls. Options include play, pause, skip forward, skip backward, as well as managing calls and volume. By tapping three times on the earbud, users can even record a phone call. In terms of battery life, these earbuds provide up to 39 hours of combined listening time between the earbuds and their case, which supports fast charging: just 10 minutes of charging gives 2 hours of music playback.

Xiaomi’s new Buds 5 earbuds are available for 99 euros and come in three colors: gray, white, and black.
