Apple continues to refine its product lineup with strategic updates. Whether you’re a MacBook enthusiast, an iPad user, or a creative looking for power, the brand is offering valuable improvements. This new generation of Macs and iPads brings better performance, longer battery life, and even price drops. Here’s everything you need to know about these announcements.
MacBook Air M4: Faster, cheaper, and still ultra-light 💻
Apple unveils its latest MacBook Air M4, and it’s bound to make waves. While not revolutionary, this update makes perfect sense. With its M4 chip, it promises up to 2x the power of the M1 model and an 18-hour battery life. But the real surprise? A price drop: €1,199 instead of €1,299 for the base model.
Among the improvements, there’s a 12 MP front camera with Center Stage, an option for up to 32 GB of RAM, and the ability to connect two external displays without closing the laptop. Available in 13- and 15-inch versions, it gets even closer to the MacBook Pro while remaining ultra-portable. And for those who love new finishes, a sleek « Midnight Blue » color is now available.
iPad Air M3: The AI-powered tablet 📱
No major design changes, but under the hood, the iPad Air M3 gains power with the M3 chip, reportedly 2x faster than the M1. Apple focuses on AI with advanced features: intelligent photo editing, text rewording, and native ChatGPT integration.
Available in 11- and 13-inch sizes, it retains its Liquid Retina display with slight brightness differences between the models. It comes with a new Magic Keyboard and is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro. Prices start at €719 (11-inch) and €969 (13-inch), with a launch set for March 12.
11th-gen iPad: A subtle but welcome upgrade 🎨
While the iPad Air grabs attention, the standard iPad isn’t left behind. Keeping the same design and a 10.9-inch screen, it now features the A16 chip, the same as in the iPhone 14 Pro, delivering a much-needed performance boost.
But the real surprise is its price: €409 for the base version with 128 GB of storage. This makes it an excellent value-for-money option, offering smoother performance without breaking the bank.
Mac Studio: Two chips, insane performance 🖥️
Apple refreshes its Mac Studio with two powerful configurations:
- A version with the M4 Max chip (14-core CPU, 32-core GPU)
- A version with the M3 Ultra, combining two M3 Max chips for a 28-core CPU and 60-core GPU.
With 36 GB of RAM as standard, Thunderbolt 5, and performance up to 2.6x faster than the M1 Ultra, this Mac Studio targets high-end creatives. The price? €2,499 for the M4 Max version and €4,999 for the M3 Ultra model. Pre-orders are open, with a release date set for March 12.
With these updates, Apple fine-tunes its lineup without shaking things up entirely. The MacBook Air M4 gets a power boost and a price drop, the iPad Air M3 embraces AI, the 11th-gen iPad sees a subtle upgrade, and the Mac Studio becomes a performance powerhouse. What’s next? Likely a Mac Pro powered by the M4 chip. Stay tuned!
