Samsung unveils its future best-sellers: the Galaxy A34 and A54 📱

In the « Galaxy » of Samsung smartphones, there are not only high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S23, which you can discover by clicking here. The South Korean brand also has mid-range references in its catalog, including the A range very well known to the general public. Samsung presented this year’s batch with the Galaxy A34 and A54.

A design reminiscent of the top of the range😍

For this new version of its Galaxy A range, Samsung has chosen to play the card of consistency. Consistency because we find a similar design to the Galaxy S23 released earlier this year. Like their elders, the design is pure with a glass back, equipped with 3 photo sensors that are located at the top left of the device, aligned vertically. There is no protrusion around the sensors, unlike last year. This new design gives these smartphones a nice high-end look.

On the front, however, the 2 smartphones are different. While the A54 has a « punch » camera integrated to the screen, the A34 has a camera integrated in a small U-shaped notch.

Sufficient performance for everyday tasks 💪🏾

If they are beautiful, these new Galaxy A are also powerful. Not as good as their S line elders, but good enough to handle everyday tasks without flinching. With their 6.6-inch OLED screens for the A34 and 6.4-inch for the A54, featuring 120Hz refresh rates, you’ll be able to consume your content without a problem. Indoors and outdoors, you’ll be able to use them thanks to their brighter screens, protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and they’re not afraid of rain or dust either thanks to their IP67 certification. Their screens also hide fingerprint readers.

However, the Galaxy A34 and A54 are not equal when it comes to power or photos. The Galaxy A34 is equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 1080 chip while the A54 is equipped with an Exynos 1380 chip. If both have 4 photo sensors, the resolutions are different on 2 of the 4 sensors:

• Main module (wide-angle): 48MP for the A34, 50MP for the A54, and optical stabilization (OIS) for both
• Portrait module: 8MP for the A34, 12MP for the A54
• Macro module: 5 MP
• Selfie camera: 32 Mpx

Similarly, while both have 5G, only the A54 has Wi-Fi 6 and is e-SIM compatible.

On the battery side, both smartphones are equipped with a 5000mAh battery, enough to last all day, and the wired charging speed increases to 25W.

As for the software, both smartphones are equipped with Android 13 with OneUI, and will benefit from 4 years of version updates and 5 years of security updates.
