A few weeks ago, we talked about the arrival of the new locate network on Android. However, Samsung users already have a better network. This week in #AskGriots, we tell you how to take advantage of it 😉

Activate tracking

LSamsung smartphones are equipped with a tracking feature that enables them to be traced in the event of loss or theft. However, this feature is not activated by default. You can activate it when you first start up your smartphone, when the option is suggested.

You can also do so via the phone’s settings. Simply go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Lost Device Protection. Don’t forget to activate the « Offline Detection » function, which locates the phone even if it’s not connected to any network.

SmartThings Find to locate

If you ever lose or have your smartphone stolen, you can go to the SmartThings Find app to locate your device. This app can be accessed from a Samsung device or from a browser. To access it, you’ll need to log in to the same Samsung account as the one registered on your smartphone.

From this application, you can not only locate your smartphone, but also lock it, ring it and wipe it completely, all remotely.
