WhatsApp date search coming soon to Android 📅

Application functionality can vary from one operating system to another. As a result, features present on iOS may be absent on Android, and vice versa. The date search feature, largely absent on Android, will finally be integrated into this system.

Refine your search by date 📆

Searching on WhatsApp is pretty straightforward. From the conversation feed, or even from within a discussion, all you have to do is go to the « Search » option and type in a keyword for WhatsApp to find it. For iOS users, the feature goes one step further, displaying messages at a specific date.

The very well-informed site WABetaInfo, was able to get its hands on a first version of this feature on Android. As you can see from the screenshot above, a new calendar button will allow you to choose a date for displaying messages. This will make it easier to find messages from a conversation on a specific date.

The feature is still under development. We’ll have to wait a few weeks before rolling it out. We’ll keep you posted.
