Finding a conversation on WhatsApp is not always an easy task. WhatsApp is well aware of this, and is currently testing a new feature that should delight users.

Filters to help you find your conversations🗃️

Telegram is often praised for its new features, which come one after another. The latest, which you can discover by clicking here, concerns groups. But WhatsApp is no less impressive, quite the opposite in fact. Well aware that it is lagging behind other messaging applications, WhatsApp is constantly improving. Indeed, the WABetaInfo site, which needs no introduction, recently discovered a new message filtering feature.

As you can see from the screenshot above, WhatsApp will be introducing new  » dots  » above discussions. As you’d expect, and as confirmed by WABetaInfo, these will allow messages to be filtered. The « All » button displays all messages. The « Unread » button displays only unread messages, once selected. Finally, the « Groups » icon displays only groups. These new filters should greatly improve navigation within WhatsApp.

The new filters are currently available to selected users as a beta version on Android, in version 2.24.6.16. Roll-out to all users should take place in the coming weeks.
