Yango Tech’s B2B division is steadily rolling out artificial intelligence-powered solutions across several African markets. Through this new digital direction, the company — best known for its mobility services — is setting its sights on a broader range of strategic sectors across the continent.

Yango is diversifying — and it means business 🚀

Long recognised for the quality of its transport services, Yango has established itself as one of Africa’s leading digital mobility platforms. In Cameroon in particular, the company ranks among the top players in the space, with an app that has become a go-to for both urban commuters and those travelling between cities.

Now, the group is looking to extend its expertise into new territory — most notably healthcare — by leveraging automation and intelligent tools. This shift unfolds against a backdrop of accelerating AI adoption across the continent. « If Yango is positioning itself in Africa to save lives, then there’s absolutely no problem with that, » says Pascal, a resident of Yaoundé.

According to McKinsey & Company, generative AI has the potential to generate up to $103 billion in annual revenue across Africa — roughly 60,415 billion CFA francs. Building on this momentum, Yango Tech also plans to support both public institutions and private businesses in adopting AI tools, while helping them better measure and understand their return on investment. Meanwhile, the GSMA projects that by 2030, Africa’s mobile economy could contribute as much as $270 billion to the continent’s GDP — approximately 158,370 billion CFA francs.

Between competitiveness and digital transformation 🤖

As AI continues its rapid rise, a growing number of African nations are stepping up with adaptation policies and increased investment in digital infrastructure. Yango Tech has already taken its first concrete steps, launching initial initiatives in Mozambique and South Africa. The platform’s expansion reflects a broader, increasingly urgent ambition among African players to take ownership of AI technologies — at a time when digital competitiveness is reshaping economies across the continent.
