Kiro’o Games makes a big splash with Aurion on Xbox 🎮

The Kiro’o Games studio is back in the news with news that should please its many fans. Their first video game, « Aurion, Legacy of the Kori-Odan », is now available on Xbox.

What is Aurion talking about? 🤔

« Aurion, Legacy of the Kori-Odan » is an action-RPG set in an African fantasy universe, developed by Cameroonian video game studio Kiro’o Games. It recounts the epic adventure of Prince Enkwo, dispossessed of his throne on the very day of his coronation by his own brother-in-law.

In the city of Zama, King Enkwo and Queen Ewineh Kori-Odan are crowned on the day of their union. What should have been the happiest day of their lives suddenly turns into a nightmare when Enkwo’s brother-in-law orchestrates a coup. Forced into exile, the young couple set off across the lands of Aurioma in search of support to reclaim their throne. This journey marks the start of a long and exciting adventure, immersing players in the enchanting world of Aurion.

The game’s universe fully meets RPG expectations. It boasts a captivating storyline and a world rich in detail and complexity. Those who have had the opportunity to play it can testify: the story of Enkwo and Ewineh is a real nugget.

Aurion now available on Xbox 🎮

Designed entirely in Cameroon by the Kiro’o Games studio, the game benefits from mainly locally produced music, sound effects, designs and code. As Olivier Madiba, founder and managing director of Kiro’o, explains, « there’s always a small 5% from other sources ».

Released in April 2016 on PC via the Steam platform, it is now available on Xbox. And the least we can say is that it’s quite an achievement. Indeed, this is the first game from Black Africa to arrive on the platform.

« Aurion, Legacy of the Kori-Odan » is now available for purchase on the Xbox Store for €14.99. It is available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Que prévoit Kiro’o Games pour l’avenir ? 👀

Although the arrival of Aurion on Xbox has been a real success for the Kiro’o team, they have no intention of stopping there. Indeed, in addition to the RPG game, the studio has already given birth to two other mobile games: « Aurion Kajuta Gems Fighter » and « Le Responsable Mboa ».

« Aurion: Kajuta Gems Fighters » is a mix between puzzle game and action game set in the Aurion universe. « It’s the ULTIMATE romp game on your smartphone », according to Kiro’o Games.

As for « Le Responsable Mboa », this game lets you play the role of an African civil servant in an imaginary republic. You have to make him evolve and take decisions according to the different situations that will present themselves to you. Initially available only on Android, the game was very well received by Internet users. Olivier Madiba recently announced that the game is once again the studio’s priority.
