Videos now in HD quality on WhatsApp 🎦

WhatsApp continues to improve its application with regular updates. The latest update now includes the ability to send videos in high definition.
The « HD » button is now available for videos
Shortly after enabling the sending of HD photos (you can read our article on the subject by clicking here), WhatsApp is now rolling out an update enabling the sending of uncompressed photos. Until now, all videos sent on WhatsApp were limited to a maximum resolution of 480 pixels. This is strangely low given that most smartphones now shoot at 1080p (Full HD) minimum.
As with photos, you’ll need to use the ‘HD’ button at the top of the preview before sending the video. This gives you the option of sending your video in ‘Standard Quality’ or ‘HD Quality’.
Don’t forget to update your application to take advantage of this new feature. If your application is already up to date, please wait a few days before trying again.
