A few months ago, Spotify announced that it would be raising its subscription prices in France. This has now been done.
An increase to absorb the streaming tax đ°
Following the introduction of a new tax on streaming in France, Spotify announced that it would be increasing its subscription fees. The platform explained that this decision was intended to absorb the new tax. The platform sent out an e-mail today to inform its various subscribers of the price increase.
However, this new increase is not as significant as the one already implemented last year by the platform. Here is the new price list:
- Personal Premium subscription: âŹ11.12 per month (instead of âŹ10.99, i.e. +13 cents or +1.18%)
- Student Premium subscription: âŹ6.06 per month (instead of âŹ5.99, i.e. +7 cents or +1.17%)
- Premium Duo subscription: âŹ15.17 per month (instead of âŹ14.99, i.e. +18 cents or +1.2%)
- Premium Family subscription: âŹ18.21 per month (instead of âŹ17.99, i.e. +22 cents or +1.22%)
