Egypt is pushing ahead with its digital health agenda. The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Transformation met with the Minister for Administrative Affairs to review progress on the country’s ongoing healthcare digitization projects. The meeting also served to reinforce Egypt’s national roadmap for health data management.
Centralizing Egypt’s health data 💻
During the session, the Ministry of Health outlined its priorities for the next phase of the digital rollout. Key focus areas include digitizing epidemiological information and building a nationwide vaccination database. The ministry also plans to streamline the management of medical infrastructure, equipment, and supply chains through unified digital tools.
Together, these initiatives aim to improve data availability, strengthen national health planning, and boost the overall efficiency of public health responses.
A unified platform to coordinate services 🌐
Officials also highlighted the Health Community Platform, designed as a shared digital workspace connecting multiple layers of Egypt’s healthcare ecosystem—from sector administrations to local authorities. The platform’s goal: enable smoother information exchange, improve data flows, and enhance operational coordination across the system.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation reaffirmed its support for all proposed initiatives. The meeting brought together technical teams, local authorities, and digital transformation units to ensure tight alignment among every stakeholder involved.
