Netflix announces a new price increase 🤑

Last July, Netflix made some adjustments to its basic subscription (which you can discover by clicking here) and introduced a new ad-supported offer. Today, two other subscriptions are undergoing a price adjustment.

An increase of €2 per month 💸

Currently, Netflix offers 4 subscriptions to access its platform: Standard with ads, Essential, Standard and Premium. Rumors of a price hike at Netflix have now been confirmed.

« While we bring more value to our subscribers, we occasionally ask them to pay a little more. »

That’s how Netflix justifies its price increase. But not all offers will be affected. Only « Essential » and « Premium » subscriptions will see a price increase. Netflix has announced a €2/month increase for each of its offers. The « Essential » offer will rise from €8.99 to €10.99, an increase of 22%, while the « Premium » offer will rise from €17.99 to €19.99, an increase of 11%.

In summary, Netflix subscriptions are now divided into 4 formulas:

• The « Standard with ads » package, priced at €5.99, gives you unlimited access to 85% of the Netflix catalog in Full HD (1080p) from 2 devices.
• The « Essential » package for €10.99, which gives unlimited access to the entire Netflix catalog, but only in HD (720p) from 1 device.
• The « Standard » package costs €13.49, and gives you unlimited access to the entire Netflix catalog in Full HD (1080p) from 2 simultaneous devices. You can also add up to 1 additional subscriber who doesn’t live with you.
• The « Premium » package, priced at €19.99, gives you unlimited access to the entire Netflix catalog in UHD/4K from 4 simultaneous devices. You can also add up to 2 additional subscribers who don’t live with you.
