Kiro’o Games makes a big splash with Aurion on Xbox 🎮
Cameroonian studio Kiro’o Games is making history by bringing its African role-playing and action game « Aurion, Legacy of the Kori-Odan » to the Xbox platform. This is the first video game created in Black Africa to be available on Microsoft’s console.  Click here for full article
Google’s Gemini application finally available to all ✨
Google is rolling out its Gemini app, based on generative AI, in several African and European countries, including France and Cameroon. Available on Android via the Play Store and soon on iOS in the Google app, Gemini is a multimodal conversational assistant enabling written, vocal or image-based interactions. Video statuses on WhatsApp are now longer 🎥

WhatsApp has increased the maximum length of videos that can be shared in status, from 30 seconds to 1 minute. This new feature responds to requests from users frustrated by the previous limitation, which forced them to split up their videos. Click here for full article

Instagram tests unskippable ads: a risky gamble? 😡

Instagram is testing a new advertising feature called « Ad Break », requiring users to view an ad for 3 to 5 seconds before continuing to browse. Microsoft has blocked a method of installing Windows 11 without creating a Microsoft account, now requiring users to log in with a Microsoft account during installation.
